Sr. Manager, Financial Systems Support in Rye NY in Rye, NY

Description Act as an internal consultant; develop short and long-range planning, forecasting, and reporting technologies in partnership with various customers; manage day to day Hyperion technology operations team and consultants. -Lead the technology management lifecycle development -Present strategic plans to upper management as needed -Recommend, define, and implement strategies to improve technology and continuous process improvements -Be a specialist in financial systems acting as a liaison and business partner between Finance Technology and internal and external customers including IT personnel and Financial Systems users -Develop analytical approaches to related tools/technology to deliver financial intelligence and facilitate understanding of business data and results -Partner with Finance to establish a department roadmap and best practices, providing alternatives and making recommendations -Work with business units to define business requirements relative to Finance technology initiatives including complete business requirements, scope identification, business process definition, and cost/benefit analysis -Partner with technology service providers to administer and ensure data integrity of data flows from an end-to-end perspective -Provide applications development support as it pertains to financial systems readiness -Work with vendors to evaluate, analyze and recommend new technology solutions -Vendor management for hardware, software, and consulting services -Document system processes, reports and system functionality Mentor and coach associates to maximize their personal and professional development and their contribution to finance technology's goals -Identify and create development opportunities for associates -Proactively engage in succession planning -Set and communicate expectations, observe and provide consistent, honest feedback Requirements Experience: 7-10 years of multiple technology product experience (Oracle EnterpriseOne, J.D. Edwards, Hyperion Essbase, Enterprise, etc.) which includes system implementation/conversion project management, training, and documentation. - Experience with financial consolidations & reporting, month-end close, business analytics, and FP&A decision support processes/technologies. - Exposure to large legacy systems (i.e. PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, etc.)required - Experience with treasury applications desired - Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, MIS or related field - Technical certifications preferred (e.g. Hyperion Certified Professional) - MBA/CPA desired - Strong knowledge of consolidations/databases/query tools/business intelligence/OLAP that include Hyperion Essbase, Enterprise/FM, Pillar/Planning, Analyzer - Proficient with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access - Proven ability to manage and lead a team of Hyperion professionals B.S./B.B.A. in Accounting, Finance or Computer Science (or equivalent). Key Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of consolidations/databases/query tools/business intelligence/OLAP that include Hyperion Essbase, Enterprise/FM, Pillar/Planning, Analyzer Familiarity with HTML, Java or other internet development tool would be a plus. The candidate must be a self-starter with strong interpersonal skills, and possess good oral and written communication skills.
