Business Analyst in Rochester, NY

A Rochester area Manufacturing firm is seeking a Business Analyst. As a Business Analyst, you would be responsible for the following: • Leading department defined projects from conception through implementation. • Define the process requirements for more effective business processes and for the solution to business problems. • Assist in the development and maintenance of standard user practices, policies and procedures that insure practical and efficient business operation. • Supporting the Shared Services team with delivery of services for all units served, which includes the daily functions of system maintenance and security, data integrity, enhancements/continuous improvement, etc. • Periodic management reporting of key metrics such as Transactional Cost, Efficiency and Effectiveness Metrics. Experience: • BS in Accounting or Finance • Considerable skills in customer service, communication, leadership, problem solving, team building, and consensus abilities • Project Management experience • 4+ years experience in Accounting with strong orientation towards process and continuous improvement • Functional Skills in Accounting / Finance • Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills • Ability to express complex Technical Concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing. • Analytical and Organizational Skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Access • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT and XP Operating Systems • Knowledge of AS/400 Mid Range System • Knowledge of ERP Systems • Ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience • Ability to work independently with limited supervision For immediate consideration, please contact Allison Beard at 585-232-6055 or e-mail at .
