Lead Voice/Technology Analyst Description This position is primarily responsible for the design, planning, and implementation of Voice networks world-wide. This position directly manages 3 Avaya PBXs in the New York Area, but also provides Level 3 support and design as necessary for PBXs in other countries. Essential functions: Define and document Legacy and IP telephony standards Design and implement Avaya IP telephony solutions including PBX, ACD, and Voicemail Provide project management for telephony initiatives world-wide Perform complex tasks related to network operations, installation and/or maintenance for local, off-site and/or remote locations Develop, maintain and enforce acceptance criteria and procedures for the implementation of new infrastructure into the operational environment. Develop methodologies for analysis, testing and quality assurance of transmission mediums and infrastructure components Provide Level 3 Blackberry Troubleshooting and Repair Train world wide business unit operations staff in new services, procedures, applications and equipment Assist in the documentation of technical architecture for voice & data infrastructure world-wide Requirements Effective interpersonal communication skills to interact proficiently with peers and other business and technology professionals Excellent Team player with initiative to work smarter, not harder Strong documentation skills with attention to detail Broad knowledge of voice & data communication systems, dial plans, switching architecture, telephony and wiring Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite and QoS a must Advanced knowledge of VoIP technologies and actual implementation / support experience Integration of Voice over IP over a Cisco based LAN and WAN Advanced knowledge of Avaya to include: o Avaya G3si, Intuity Audix, CMS o S8XXX and G7XX architecture o Vector programming, configuration, number administration, CMS system, CLAN/MedPRO card configuration, and VAL Board programming o Strong knowledge of Unified Messaging Architecture, IP addressing, Protocols: H.323, SIP, PSTN and carrier networks and product offerings, carrier circuit design and provisioning processes, circuit testing and troubleshooting techniques. o Ability to analyze telecom utilization and performance data 4-8 years experience in software/hardware voice network design and data integration Project management experience within Telecommunications Experience with moves/adds/changes, fault isolation & resolution, and end-user support Bachelor's Degree in telecommunications or related field, or equivalent experience To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
