GFM IT (part of IS&D) provides IT services, in terms of application and systems solutions development, implementation and support, to GFM business, Middle Office and Back Office areas.
The Business Analyst, with sound business knowledge, will be able to gather, understand and analyze user requirements. The Job holder will define the requirements and work closely with technical staff to help implement IT systems solutions for GFM and related areas. The job holder will also help in project management and preparing required Project Management documents as required. The job holder will help translate and in understanding of complex business cases to the technical staff.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
· Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate implementation of IT solutions and development of profitable relationships.
· Liaise with business users to define and gather requirements
· Analyze the requirements and perform gap analysis
· Recommend solutions and propose workflows based on the solutions
· Define requirements to the technical staff
· Translate and help understand complex business requirements to technical staff
· Perform project management activities as required
· Prepare Project Management documentation as required
· Participate in project implementations and contribute to the success of the projects throughout the life cycle of the project.
· Provide immediate and quality user support to resolve production issues thereby minimizing any disruptions to business.

Experience: Essential:
· Knowledge of Equity, derivative and Fixed Income business and markets is required.
· Must have at least 5+ years of experience in the financial industry working in a similar role or performing similar functions.
· Should have experience in using MS Office products, SQL etc.
· Previous experience in implementation of IT solutions and automation in the capital markets, either in equities, fixed income or derivatives
· Ability to work closely with Traders and Operations to develop solutions, and support and resolve production issues.
Desirable:
· Familiarity with Databases and Programming languages
