Top Financial Firm in downtown NYC is looking for a Business Analyst with VBA experience.
This position is responsible for managing MAS client performance reporting, as well as, leading projects that are designed to make Investment Management Services (IMS) processes more efficient.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Develop and refine quantitative tools for creating automated client presentations
Play a key role in construction of reporting models for Wealth Mgt clients
Strong knowledge of excel, including macro and custom function writing
Knowledge of investment performance concepts
Understanding of portfolio accounting system – APL- helpful
Exposure to data mining tools, such as , Hyperion or knowledge of SQL
Perform project management activities on multiple assigned projects to ensure projects stay on budget and are completed within agreed upon timeframes.
Act as a valued resource for operational, client-service, and business areas to partner with them to accomplish cross-department/divisional goals.
Responsible for ensuring changing business needs are understood and are reflected in how they will affect the system/solution described. Ensure potential solutions are described in terms that both business and technical teams can understand. Review and approve all technical documentation related to the solution.
Drive the identification and lead the implementation of process improvements for IM to continually improve our efficiency and lower the cost of doing business.
Ensure accurate cost estimates, including input from the technology team, are provided to the business sponsors for the proposed solution. Using an ROI approach, act as a trusted advisor to the business sponsors discussing how to move forward to achieve business goals.
Ensure current and accurate documentation of the solution. Supervise testing of systems changes, approve or assist in the development of product announcements, and approve modifications to client demonstrations.
