My client is an Entertainment company that has an immediate need for two Unix and Linux systems administrator on a consulting basis. The Linux Systems Administrator will work in a multi server Sun Solaris environment. This is a mixed Windows and Linux environment The Linux Systems Administrator will configure, build and administer new servers for production and development environments. Additional functionality will include backups, storage logs, documentation and general server maintenance and support. The Unix Systems Administrator will interface with a talented systems administration team and will provide systems side support for these projects. Experience: <b><u><font color= "#3399CC">Skill sets required: </font color= "#3399CC"></u></b><br><ul>
<li>3+ years experience with <b>Unix as well as Linux systems administration</b>, ideally <b>Sun Solaris (8,9,10) boxes </b>but not required.<br>
<li> Strong experience with Unix is a definite plus. <br>
<li>Sun Clustering
<li>Apache (web server) Experience.<br>
<li>SNMP Monitoring tools.<br>
<li>Full understanding of TCP/IP and related protocols.<br>
<li>Experience with <b>Veritas Foundation Suite Technologies</b> and other shared file systems. <br>
<li>Experience with <b>Shell Scripting or Perl Scripting</b>, SAN and Networking technologies a plus. <br>
<li>Experience supporting Windows Environments a definite plus as this is a mixed environment.<br>
<li> Ability to lead teams and projects to completion.<br>
<li>Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills are required.<br></ul>
