SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER FOR LARGE MEDIA

Responsible for leading Project initiatives or PMO function across the Programming Business.

Including, but not limited to:
1.Development Management - Manages timely execution of all internal and external organizations.
2.Requirements Management - Ensures business requirements docs are understandable by a development team to build a solution.
3.Program Health/Status Reporting - Reports on overall health (cost/schedule) of programs and component projects within the program.
4.Budget Reporting - Reports on the budgets vs. actual costs during the program - including budget forecasting
5.Risk/Issue Management - Manage business, development, and production-related risks and issues during the program.
6.Technology Vendor/Contract Management - Manages SOW development and external parties to ensure successful execution of their deliverables stated in the SOW. Partners with the business during the vendor selection process to ensure the right vendor is selected based on technical feasibility and fit.
7.User Acceptance Management - Manages the requirements through project development and ensures the design and solution incorporates all agreed-upon requirements.
8.Integrated Project Management - Ensures consistencies across all project schedules across teams and identifies long poles and dependencies for timely execution.
9.Change Management - Manages all change requests to ensure the budget, scope and schedule are managed appropriately.
10.Escalation Management (inter-division) - Manages escalations among multiple divisions or across AOL business units.
11.Resource Needs Identification - Identifies appropriate hardware, software, headcount, and facilities to properly execute all programming specific programs.
12.Develop and enhance PjM/PMO tools, best practices, reporting, training materials and effective communication plans.

Forges relationships leadership teams to develop ideas and further leadership goals. Earns the trust of internal partners as a leader in the strategic and problem-definition stage, and throughout the lifecycle of a project.

Creates and implements operating plans including training, hiring and assignments in senior level discussions. Leads a team of cross-functional peers through process/policy creation and subsequent roll out.

Uses industry knowledge and past project data to create and coach others in creation of accurate and accountable estimates. Duplicates skill in others.

Master project manager, uses industry standard tools such as MS Project as necessary. Coaches others in the use of these tools. Coaches others in the creation of accurate scheduling and compares estimates against actuals as a way of improving future performance of individuals and teams. Understands how to refine and communicate requirements, and adjusts them as needs change.

Leads the development of projects/programs and matrixed resources, including but not limited to creative, technology development, marketing, legal, programming and project management. May manage cross-functional, cross-departmental teams in an effective workflow and productive, collaborative process between creative, technical, project management and operational teams.

Knowledge of Front End development technologies is critical. This includes Flash, Java/JSP, HTML/CSS, AJAX, etc. Prior experience managing large scale web development projects across multiple platforms is strongly preferred.

Provides consistent, clear communication: presents both written and orally, on complex issues relating to process, projects, staffing, to full range of peers and high level executives.

Clearly represents business needs to senior executive staff.

Provide day-to-day supervision for peers and team members including work assignments, work direction, training and priorities.

Sets direction for entire extended project/program team, ensuring goals are in alignment with business strategy. Safeguards team as appropriate. Demonstrates ability to impart knowledge and expertise to the team,

Sets direction for project management as it relates to a work flow, ensuring goals are in alignment and communicated to Programming senior management team
