The Business Developer is responsible for the following tasks:
„X SQL Server database administration: Assist in the day-to-day administration of all SQL instances in production and the test environments. Perform/support the daily maintenance tasks and procedures which fall outside of the helpdesk daily checklist. Assist in the creation of new databases and maintenance of existing databases. Provide support to all vendor and packaged applications which use SQL server as a backend.
„X Datawarehouse Development: Assist in the development, the testing and the innovative means of gathering and importing of data into the datawarehouse in such a way that the information contained within it can be meaningful and accessible to all users. Provide ongoing support for ETL initiatives and support Oracle data warehouse.
„X Development: Assist in the in-house software development base on VB.Net, other software tools and the SQL Server. This software development task should serve all departments within New York.
„X STP: Assist in the 2nd level support for the Murex, SWIFT STP, OFAC and other platforms within New York. Develop and provide 2nd level SWIFT MT support.
„X Other systems: Assist in the support of Compliance OFAC , BSA and KYC application functions and various in-house applications, services and scheduled jobs.
„X Project Methodology: Assist in the documentation of projects in accordance with standard project methodology.
„X Interface with Business department IT Coordinators to assist with business needs and provide support where necessary.
„X Represent project visibility before a Project Management Committee assisting the business support services team in scoping, sizing and tracking assigned projects.
Experience: MUREX knowledge is highly desired.
Education: This position requires a college degree/technical training or equivalent of on the job technical experience.
Job Knowledge: He/she must have technical training and experience in the area of databases and development tools.
Job Knowledge (# years of experience): This position requires a minimum of 4 years of technical experience. Financial/Banking specific exposure is a plus
Other Skills, e.g. :
• Computer: This function requires a thorough knowledge of database concepts, database management and administration, software development and project management. VB.Net, SQL Server, Oracle, Oracle GL, ETL Tools
• Interpersonal: This function requires well developed interpersonal skills; he/she will interacts with all departments.
• Decision-making: The function requires a fair amount of critical thinking in order to make the decision making process more efficient.
 Flexibility: In view of the fast-changing IT environment, flexibility for infrequent evening or weekend work is required. He/she must be a team player and be flexible to changes that affect the department.
 Working Conditions/Environment: The Business Developer/Analyst must be able to work in a fast paced multi-tasking and multi-faceted environment. He/she must keep up with the high end-user demands and be available and accessible.
