Network Operations Center (NOC) Analyst

The NOC Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, break-fix and other operational duties as assigned. Duties will be diversified in Network, System, and Security administration. The NOC Analyst will be responsible for internal technical trouble resolution, proactive monitoring, and internal/external communication including interacting with vendors to ensure timely resolution of trouble reports. This position requires a rotating schedule and operates 7x24.

Primary Responsibilities
• As the first line of defense you will monitor systems and validate alerts using an array of monitoring tools
• Monitor all aspects of network, systems, security, facilities, infrastructure and provide outbound communications
• Perform 1st & 2nd tier troubleshooting using tools and utilities to resolve system/network performance and related system/network issues
• Proactively work to refine documentation of systems/network, troubleshooting guides, policies and procedures.
• Effectively communicate status to end-users and internal staff
• Must be able to find answers to technical problems through a variety of mediums
• Documentation of trouble resolution and support procedures.

Qualifications:
• 4-year college degree in computer science, a related degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience working in a 24x7 NOC a big plus
• Familiar with NOC tools, ticketing systems, and escalation procedures
• Outstanding troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
• A dedication to customer satisfaction.
• Schedule flexibility to work nights and/or weekends
• Basic skills in at least some of the following areas: Unix/Linux System Administration, Windows Administration, Networking, Scripting (Perl), and Oracle.
