Robert Half Technology is currently recruiting for a Senior Applications Developer Consultant who will be responsible for leading development of advanced server-side applications such as (but not limited to):
Desktop applications
Server applications
Website development
Database systems
This person will also be responsible for the mentoring of Junior Application Developers and they will work closely with them in paired programming projects. A Senior Application Developer must be able to work well in a team environment and have a thorough understanding of advanced programming methods.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Will lead advanced application development projects
Help with interviewing potential freelancers
Develop and/or maintain best practices documentation
Provide estimates for RFP’s that are sent down from Sales
Active participant in brainstorming sessions
Coaches junior developers
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must possess excellent coding skills and be efficient with their time
Should have a complete and thorough understanding of .Net Framework and Java at an expert level
Must have working knowledge of two or more of these languages: PHP, Perl, Ruby, Python,
Knowledge of TSQL/XML/SOAP and network protocols
Must be able to work with version control systems
Must communicate with peers and supervisors effectively
Education and/or Training:
Must be high school graduate
Must have expert level experience working with Flash
Should be comfortable leading groups of 2 or more developers
Must understand development process and be to accurately estimate development cycle
Must have 5+ years working with server-side application development
