Maintain the AS/400 machines to provide reliable tape backups and job execution, database mirroring and maintain high availability per business needs as well as maintaining the development server. Manage AS/400 system operations, apply PTF*s, install OS upgrades, track/report AS/400 resource utilization
Monitor AS/400 logs, system messages, perform troubleshooting and update operations documentation Respond to alerts, messages and pages Recommend initiatives and execute projects to meet business operational requirements
Define and implement and administer backup tape management procedures and documentation Administer AS/400 utilities Assist with JDE operational requirements as needed Assist with AS/400 and JDE Security. Support two sites, potential shift hours offsets.
