Product Manager / Associate Product Manager

This position within an online e-commerce organization provides a great entry into the merchandising and product development areas. It will also enable the right candidate the ability to learn the right skills to pursue additional career paths within the company in areas such as Planning, Website Merchandising and Sourcing. Management of key relationships within the organization such as planning, merchandising operations, fulfillment, marketing and Purchase Net will be required.

POSITION OVERVIEW: to work with the Business / Product Manager on the development of new products that support the brand strategy. This position interacts with all levels of the organization and requires excellent communication and presentation skills. In addition, the ability to juggle multiple priorities, manage projects, great attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft project), driving the development process focusing on revenue generation and gross margin management. This candidate must also possess the ability to prioritize their workload on a daily basis. Creativity in thought process is a must.

Experience: • Product Management
o Development of Quarterly Product Presentation
 Concept Meeting
 Product Presentation
 Marketing Turnover (creative, direct marketing etc.)
o Work with marketing on development of marketing plans Maximize revenue and profit between all categories by continuously rationalizing marginal performers and identification of products and marketing strategies to replace revenue
o Package development – working with vendor relations and purchase net on the actual presentation of the final product and maintaining packaging improvements and upgrades
o Work closely with quality control to ensure all products meet 1800 flowers world class quality parameters
o Develop product specs based on winning, new product concepts
o Collaborate with Marketing Operations / planning in development of demand forecasts, launch and post launch inventory to support sales plans. Guide Merchandising Operations in refining forecasts on a weekly / monthly / quarterly basis based on trends. Approve final re forecast.
o Pricing optimization through testing and analysis
o Development of monthly training plan for gift advisors on top products each month
o Coordinate Merchandising operations functions, QA , and vendor relations to leverage supply chain for product development and profitable buying
o Support PR and Internet Marketing to further develop brand
o Coordinate sample needs for Quarterly Product Presentations, Quarterly Photo Shoots, Re-Shoots, Direct Marketing needs, Investor Presentations, etc. Manage the process.

• Website Merchandising
o Maximize profit and revenue return on website real estate
o Maximize results of feature positioning through monthly re-merch process on welcome and individual channels through the use of best sellers and key items
o Proof all images, copy and pricing on the website
