Title - User Interface / HTML Developer
Location - NY, NY - 10019
Duration - 6 months
The Front-End Developer must have a strong foundation in developing online user experiences, with expert skills in converting design concepts into standards-compliant, semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code. The ideal candidate is proficient in separating code from content and hand-coding clean, tableless layouts. Must be comfortable working on a multidisciplinary team, in a fast-paced environment with fluid processes. She or he will play a critical role in helping to manage the web site redesign
Responsibilities include:
Developing interaction design and overseeing UI design for widgets and web applications
Creating and maintaining CSS stylesheets
Translating design comps into HTML templates
Working closely with both the web designer and back-end developers
Participating in ideation for site features
Required skills:
2+ years experience in development and coding for large-scale, content-driven sites
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX; Flash ActionScript is a huge plus
Familiarity with integrating Flash, video, and back-end functionality into front-end designs
Familiarity with CMS, in particular, Ektron HAVING Ektron is a huge Plus!
In-depth knowledge of usability and UI issues, coding best practices, WC3 standards, available client-side technologies, and current web development trends
Experience working with source/version control and testing cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility
Self-starter who is able to multitask and work well with little direction
