A well known financial service company in the New York City area is looking for a QA tester working on a J2EE Platform.
Company is looking for a QA Tester working on a J2EE platform performing integration testing for development efforts. Integration testing is checking to see that the system / application will work properly once introduced to the rest of the infrastructure once it goes live.
Candidate needs to perform Integration testing for development efforts.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
. Developing familiarity with business requirements and processes to be leveraged for the creation of functional / technical specifications and their development into code.
. Displays problem solving and analytical skills, using them to resolve business and/or technical problems.
. Good knowledge of programming / systems analysis, as well as programming languages, development tools, and the current environment.
. Draws on good knowledge base (e.g., infrastructure, technology, and applications) to analyze problems and contribute to troubleshooting efforts.
. Leverages basic design understanding and/or capabilities (e.g., database, application code, reusable objects, and interfaces) to optimize development efforts in a distributed environment.
Experience: Required education/experience:
. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
. 2 to 5 years of IT work experience in systems programming / analysis.
. Individuals at this level have a good application development / analysis background.
. Able to leverage past IT work experiences, especially business process and requirements related, in current position.
