Senior Database Support Specialist Location: New YorkCoordinates the work of the Data Entry Specialists; also responsible for special projects for the department.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Provides the first level of support to users of various technical systems in the department. This includes coordination of LegalTrax access authorization, generating routine department statistical reports, routine data entry and modification, and answering questions pertaining to LegalTrax, Records1, and FOCUS data entry systems.Act as liason between the departmental staff and technical support personnel. Presents problems which require assistance and requests for modifications to the systems.Tests and evaluates changes to the applications. This includes modifications made by the staff and changes made by software vendors.Coordinates training of new personnel in the department in the various systems. Provides ongoing instructions when needed because of reassignment of duties, filling in due to absences, etc.Provides research and customer assistance services.Supervisory Responsibilities Job requires direct supervision of Data Entry personnel. Qualifications Microsoft office systems applications required: Word processing and spreadsheet. Knowledge of Records Management Software applications preferred.Excellent communication skills; attention to detail.Knowledge of filing procedures.Ability to work independently.Good typing ability.Must be able to lift 40 pounds.Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED and 2 to 3 years Records department experience in a legal environment required.
