We are looking for intellectual, creative, and analytical individuals with strong communication skills for an Advent Geneva - Business Analyst.
The Advent Geneva Business Analyst is responsible for delivering value added services to clients implementing, upgrading, or optimizing their Geneva portfolio accounting system and associated business processes.
Lead or participate in a consulting team in a variety of areas, which may include but are not limited to, business and integration requirements gathering, gap/fit analysis of requirements versus standard system functionality, project planning and status tracking, data conversion strategy and execution, interface and report specification, design, and testing across all phases of the implementation of a Geneva portfolio accounting solution.
Ideal candidates will possess a majority of the following skills:
Good understanding of reporting requirements
Unix skills preferred (e.g. core utilities, scripting, Unix file system concepts)
Understanding of XML preferred
Some programming, report writing, and SQL experience
Ability to assist in data mapping exercises
Understanding of data cleansing practices
Good understanding of Portfolio Accounting
Good understanding of process modeling practices
Ability to articulate systems integration requirements (e.g. data types, sources, formats, and timeliness)
Experience
Experience in implementation, migration, and system integration in an Advent Geneva environment
2-3 Years Financial Services or related experience
Experience with back-office workflow, trade processing, accounting, P&L calculations, reconciliations
Prior experience with Swaps (CDS, CFD, TRS, Basket Swaps) or Bank Debt preferred
Experience developing with workflow or BPM tools
Experience with messaging systems
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with managers and clients to discuss complex ideas and develop project deliverables. Ability to think, write and present in a logical and structured way
