Position Overview QoS Networking Inc. is looking for a Network Engineer/Consultant to lead efforts for network upgrades and migrations and project related design work. The selected Consultant will be expected to lead a network team, work with the system administrators and application owners to plan and coordinate changes, troubleshoot issues, and produce technical documentation. Join a qualified team of network and security consultants providing managed and professional services to various high-profile clients in the Capital Region. QualificationsRequired- Minimum of 6 years experience as a lead in general data communications design and implementation. Expertise must cover TCP/IP, RIP2, OSPF, spanning tree protocol, VLANS, IPSEC tunneling- 2 years direct experience in performing network upgrades and migrations in data center network environments- 2 years direct experience as a team lead in a network upgrade or implementation project- 6 years direct experience in managing, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches and firewalls- 2 years direct experience in managing, configuring and troubleshooting Juniper (Netscreen) firewalls- 3 years direct experience in utilizing Sniffer or Application Vantage to perform packet-level network and application traffic analysisDesired- Direct working experience with network upgrades and migrations in data center network environments- Direct working experience in diagnosing and solving problems with Juniper (Netscreen) 208,500,550 or 2000 firewalls- Direct working experience in diagnosing and solving problems with Cisco 2950, 3750, 6500 switches and CSS load balancers- Direct working experience as a team lead in network design and implementation- Direct working experience in diagnosing and solving problems utilizing the Sniffer protocol analyzer- Direct working experience in diagnosing and solving problems utilizing the ApplicationVantage protocol analyzer- Direct working experience in diagnosing and solving problems utilizing the ClientVantage Agentless Monitoring product- Working experience providing technical guidance and training to other staff- Good communication and interpersonal skills*School experience will be considered for the above requirementsBenefits- Salary range 65k - 90k- Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, 401kHow to ApplyPlease send your cover letter and resume to :QoS Networking, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
