A large high-voltage power supply company seeks a part-time Helpdesk Support contractor to work in their Valhalla, NY location. This is a long-term contract with a 20 hour work week.
Hours: 8 AM- 12 PM Monday through Friday
Duties:
*Providing support to approximately 30 users.
*Need to know Windows XP and Microsoft 2003 and 2007.
*Responsible for helping users with simple tasks as in routing/connecting printers, setting up a user,user domain, backing up data and network mapping if the user is on the wrong network, and rebuilding PC's when needed.
*They use "track it" as their helpdesk tool to track all requests, this is helpful and a plus but not necessary.
They have a large IT center in Hauppauge that will handle any more complicated issues-this role is so the users don't bother the IT team for mundane tasks. Currently they have someone in this position and he is outdated and not even familiar with outlook.
