Consulting position to provide engineering solutions and strategic advisement for a Network and Information Security Project. Looking for senior level network engineer/architect with a strong security background. Activities include analysis, design, and deployment of system and network security solutions:
Represent Network and Security concerns on various project teams
Evaluate and recommend new and emerging network and security products and technologies
Lead the architecture, design, implementation, and evaluation of network and security-focused tools and services. Active Directory Integration, Data Center/User Migration (onto new network).
Assist with development and interpretation of security policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Candidates should have extensive experience with Network Infrastructure & Security implementations (active directory, LAN/WAN, Wireless).
Foundry gear knowledge is desired.
Strong technical background and in-depth understanding of network architecture and protocols; strong administrative experience with Microsoft, Solaris and Linux operating systems, including script development
Strong communication (written, oral, and presentation) and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively on technical issues with non-technical personnel; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and across organizational boundaries are required.
Experience with a variety of contemporary security applications, security practice or product certifications
Higher education experience is a plus.
At least5 years of system/network experience.
Application security a plus.
Experience and detailed technical knowledge in security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, and application security
Project management experience desired
Solid writing skills required
Appropriate industry certifications (Microsoft, CISSP, SSCP*) are a plus
Knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques, including penetration testing and the development of exploits
We will consider candidates who are semi local with the option to work on site 2-3 days a week and remote the other days as allowed. Reporting to Ajilon Program Manager.
