Experience: . Expert-level experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2003/2007 and MOSS technologies (5+ years) including best practice knowledge for system design and architecture
. Expert-level competency in Visual Studio Tools for Office, Windows Workflow Foundation, Forms Server, and Excel Services
. Experience integrating SharePoint with other corporate data sources and applications
. Client-Side Applications experience with Word, Outlook, Excel, and InfoPath
. Demonstrable experience developing solution architectures
. Experience with SQL Server 2000/2005
. Experience with and strong knowledge of SOAP and XML
. Experience with security and Active Directory
. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
. Training and speaking experience a plus
Engagement Activities / Expectations of Consultant:
. Works directly with IT (Project Office and technical teams) for project planning, infrastructure/architecture design activities, and software installation/configuration
. Leads SharePoint planning workshops with technical and business teams
. Provides "best practices" knowledge for enterprise implementation of SharePoint
. Develops a high level implementation roadmap, documenting prerequisites that must be implemented to meet the requirements of the platform
. Delivers a SharePoint Architecture document that includes:
o MOSS 2007 design and configuration
o Guidance on capacity planning
o High availability and disaster recovery recommendations including guidance on MS SQL Server 2005
o Use case scenarios
o Security and anti-virus measures and recommendations
o Hardware and software requirements
. Works with technical team to design, configure and implement InfoPath forms services and workflow for discreet, identified processes in test/dev environment
. Installs and configures SharePoint in test/dev environment, documents non-standard installation practices and procedures for production deployment
. Provides guidance for operational management of the solution
. Works directly with Information Management team for governance and management service planning
o Assists with portal platform vision and roadmap
o Helps to define key Information Management principles
o Helps to define governance framework for SharePoint
o Provides guidance for utilizing SharePoint to access and administer InfoPath forms
