DB2/Sybase Database Developer and Data Modeler

Our client is looking for a senior, accomplished database developer and data modeler to join a group in Prime Services that focuses on server-side software development in a research environment. They are building a large, scalable distributed platform that involves content creation and publishing to various institutional research teams. The environment is centered on grid/cloud computing and distributed caching.
Experience: Required Experience/Skills:
- At least 8-10 years of experience as a senior database professional.
- Strong DB2 and Sybase design and development skills.
- Strong Data Modeling skills, both logical and physical modeling.
- Experience creating transactional databases and datamarts, as well as data warehouse solutions.
- Experience with Replication/Partitioning/Failover.
- Experience with Grid/Cloud computing and distributed caching relating to multi-service frameworks.
- Experience with ETL processes, preferably using Informatica.
- Experience with shell scripting.
- Strong experience with scalability and performance issues.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Past focus on Data Quality.
- Metadata driven designs.
