The highly motivated project team "ICT-Operations / Hosting & Storage for a large gas and oil company" needs additional colleagues to work on the topics "transition and transformation of IT services hosting & storage". This project is both important for the client and challenging for each team member. This is an excellent opportunity to join an international project structure and an outstanding chance to get involved into the future organization of the global delivery management / global delivery unit of our new customer. The international focus comprises USA, UK, NL and Asia Pacific.
SSD, Specific Services Delivery, provides the large gas and oil company EP with specific fit-for-purpose IT infrastructure services to meet the company's EP technical and business objectives worldwide. The global operations team is responsible for the provision of business critical interpretation middleware and applications used by the Geosciences community throughout the company. This includes:
. License management using FlexLM (key role being recruited)
. Distribution, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of technical EP applications (Landmark, Geoframe etc). Focus is on technical, not on functional support
. Oracle support for EP technical applications and GIS (ESRI/SDE suite)
. Supporting specialist 'EPdtW' environment using WebSphere, LSF, Thin Anywhere and Citrix
. Support data management environment using CDS/PDS
. Data archival through PARS.
Requirements and key to role are:
Strong experience installing and managing FLEXnet / FLEXlm license generation software (Mastery and key to role)
. Good working knowledge of the major E&P Application Portfolios
. At least 5 years experience in at least one the fields described above
. Expertise with UNIX/Linux platforms and understanding of MS Windows
. Strong interpersonal skills and strong team player with flexible work attitude
. The ability to work in a multinational environment with wide exposure to various cultures and customs
. Possible international travel at times may be required
. On call outside of normal business will be required as needed
. Excellent communication and documentation skills
. The team is based in multiple regions, Europe, US, Asia Pacific, Middle East. Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm
. Bachelor's Degree and 5 or more years experience in EP subsurface applications or equivalent a plus.
