A large financial firm located in lower Manhattan seeks a Technology Program Manager to join their Real Estate Program for a 3 month + contract
As a Technology Program Manager on the Real Estate Program, you
will be responsible for partnering with internal business leadership to bring technology-based solutions to bear on broad business goals. You will shape and guide technology projects - in terms of project strategy, approach and deliverables - to fulfill the business's agreed requirements. This will involve participation in the refinement of product strategy, definition and resource planning for major technology projects, selection of vendors (for hardware, software and consulting services), standards definition and review of project deliverables, and overall program management. You will be an integral part of a global team working, interfacing with senior technology staff, as well as senior business leaders and, with some frequency, key firm clients, on a large multi-year capability development program.
The Real Estate Program seeks to deliver a strategic operating model to serve our clients' needs for real estate partnership accounting, portfolio management, and treasury management solutions; the program has ambitious growth goals: 20-40% revenue growth targets across all regions. The program will implement a complex system architecture that includes ETL tools for collecting, standardizing and moving large volumes of property investment information, workflow tools for improving process efficiencies and controls, and a multi-layer systems stack that addresses the unique functional requirements of property data aggregation, private equity fund accounting and administration, portfolio analytics, and investor reporting.
For an evolving, expanding and often interrelated array of technology projects, the Program Manager is also expected to:
Ensure that all projects are successfully delivered;
Ensure that all projects have clear and appropriate statements of scope, objectives and deliverables;
Oversee progress reporting across all projects;
Facilitate cross-project communications among project managers and various stakeholders;
Ensure that mandates, scopes of work, and necessary interfaces between project teams and BAU functional teams are clearly understood (and adhered to) by both resource groups.
Communicate with the IT architecture council, and devise mitigation plans for, project-level risks and issues;
Design and perform of project-level quality assurance reviews.
Identify and resolve resource issues (i.e., agree on resource needs, secure appropriate resources, ensure that intra- and inter-team resources are collaborating effectively, etc.);
Ensure that team members are aware of and are appropriately leveraging all re-usable resources and knowledge objects;
Identify and evaluate new tools and processes which would provide benefit to the team; and
Develop and maintain a solid familiarity with the landscape of industry-leading technologies - as well as technologies that traditionally might not be considered real estate technologies (but that might be relevant to the broad real estate program) - and identify opportunities to further strategic goals with those technologies.
Qualifications:
Essential
Business knowledge of Private Equity Funds Management, Real Estate Investment and Property Management, Debt, Structured Finance, Global Custody, Clearance, Corporate Actions, SWIFT and Real Estate performance benchmarking organizations (NCREIF, NAREIT);
Experience managing complex, global, multi-site, big-budget, high-profile projects; and

Soft Skills
A deep sense of ownership and accountability;
An ability to see a big picture' strategy, and use that vision to guide a series of detail-oriented projects;
An open attitude towards sharing ideas and knowledge, and enabling others;
A proactive approach to solving problems and owning issues while appropriately delegating responsibility and decision-making authority;
