Position Description:
We are currently looking for an Application Technical Designer. This position is to assume a lead development position supporting various areas such as Corporate Realty, Global Sourcing, Corporate Legal, Compliance and several applications including the Ariba Buyer eProcurement tool. The incumbent will be required to develop and document complex technical solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Evaluating technical specifications and delivering technical solutions
Performing analysis and providing estimates to enhancement requests
Developing solutions to enhancement requests for production support
Managing tasks from project plans for deliverables assigned
Providing status on deliverables
Resolving application issues and day to day support of the application
Supporting the effort for application upgrades
Applying and testing patches to the application
Serve as subject matter expert in the design of Technical solutions to support business requirements
Experience: SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Minimum 3 years technical experience using and customizing Ariba Buyer 8.x.
At least 5-7 years as an application developer
Tool belt and confidence of programming skills with the following: Ariba, Tibco, Oracle, MS-SQL, Java, Sun Solaris, Web-sphere, Web-logic.
Application knowledge on spend management and e-procurement process.
Object based design with Ariba
Good communication skills.
Advise business systems analyst to help define requirements
Knowledge expert on the Ariba tools
Expert with the complete Ariba object model
