Genesis10 Consulting, has partnered with the world's leading international insurance provider and is seeking an experienced Sr. Business Systems Consultant for a 3 month contract with option to hire position in New York.
As a Functional Analyst, act as the liaison between our business community and the technology group and provide leadership on multiple projects involving the development of business solutions and customizations with Ariba 8.x, specifically in the areas of the following modules: Buyer, Invoicing, and Contracts Compliance.
. Understand, communicate, and ability to document Sourcing business processes such as procurement, invoicing, etc.
. Gather requirements for new projects
. Determine Fit/Gap analysis on business requirements with delivered product functionality
. Design technology solutions to meet the business requirements
. Write test plans for new projects
. Write test scripts for projects or new customizations
. Prepare Functional and Technical design documents for required product modifications based upon detailed understanding of software, process best practices, and client requirements
. Able to lead a team at the same time roll up sleeves and participate on team
. Support role-out of functionality to new users
. Subject matter expert on functionality of modules
. Understand the technical components and object model of the Ariba framework
. Follow established best practices for Production Support
. Support User Acceptance Testing
. Review the electronic catalog enablement process - monitor and support the improvement of the process
. Review the vendor enablement process - monitor and support the improvement of the process
. Work with the developers sometimes offshore to build quality solutions

Qualifications:
. Bachelor's degree or equivalent
. 3 to 5 years of Ariba experience or similar ERP application (Procurement)
. Must have full life cycle experience in an Ariba implementation
. Experience with the Ariba Buyer module
. Able to prepare take business requirements and transfer to a functional/technical design
. Ability to take ownership of a project(s)
. Ability to multi-task on many projects
. Excellent oral and written communication skills
. Highly motivated and energetic
. Able to communicate and work with a decentralized team
