Sykes Enterprises, Incorporated is looking for Network Operations Level 3 Engineer to fill a requirement at a customer site in New York City, NY. This is an assignment through December, 2006 with the likelihood of extension. Travel in the NY, NJ, CT, PA area. Cisco Certified Internetworking Export (CCIE) REQUIREDRecent Contenet Specific Switching experience (CSS) REQUIRED DUTIES:The following tasks are performed as part of the business as usual responsibilities of the Network Operations Level 3 Engineer: 1.Wide Area and Local Area Network Operations: Provides daily operational support or Data (and IPT Voice) Services in the NY Metro region. Problem identification and resolution for network events. Support relationships with key upstream IT delivery organizations (IP Services, application support, etc. Capacity and performance analysis for LAN, MAN and WAN utilization. Business As Usual (BAU) network software and hardware maintenance projects. Support service quality metrics. REQUIREMENTS:7+ years experience, 5 years in Pharmaceutical industry Team player with good communication skills, writing skills, and customer focused. Able to work independently and/or with a team to resolve issues. Familiar with Peregrine Service Center for trouble ticketing/resolution. Experience with project management and implementation executionFluent with Microsoft Office suite of productivity toolsExperience working in a large corporate settingCisco Certified CCIE required.
