The Technical Support Engineer II provides high level desktop support managing the wide area network and local area networks, and provides limited technical support to clients. Experience: Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1.Deploy, maintain, and support desktop and laptop computer systems for all employees, including home office user. This includes administration of new releases and service packs and purchase selections for new equipment. 2.Maintain, monitor, and manage the local area network (LAN) and servers. 3.Maintain, monitor, and manage the wide area network (WAN) and servers. 4.Maintain, support and manage internet connectivity for single remote users. 5.Maintain and manage the telephone systems. 6.Act as a front line interface to users and clients via the call center, accepting trouble reports and resolving them over the phone or through desk side support. 7.Provide support for multi-media equipment such as projectors and groupware mobile network. 8.Administer the security of the networks. 9.Administer the local backup systems. 10.Manage the equipment inventory. 11.Possible travel required ? domestic and international. Education and Skills Required: ?High School Diploma required ?B.S. in computer or business related field a plus ?Certifications in computer hardware related or network related areas a plus ?5+ years experience in technical support field ?Experience in Windows XP, 2000, 2003 ?(Preferable) Experience with Sabre for Windows, Sabre eVoya, Groupware, BCMS-VU, Lucent PBX, Great Plains, Media Bin, Veritas, VPN ?High knowledge of MS Office Suite ?Ability to be on-call and or onsite after hours and holidays for emergency support ?Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
