Position Title: IT Financial Systems SupervisorDepartment: Information Technology, ArchitectureReports to:Architecture ManagerDirect Reports:Finance Systems Analyst Travel:As NeededBasic Function:Oversees Functional Information Technology projects and tasks with regard to planning, scheduling, development and implementation of firm-wide applications and processes in support of Finance / Accounting administrative systems. Supervise and a lead team of financial System Analysts and IT Specialists to achieve project life-cycle and operational objectives.
Requirements:
1.Act as primary Financial IT lead on all related Financial Systems project and day-to-day management and staff, for the successful development of tactical plans and solution for new and existing systems and applications. Provide same for other administrative areas as appropriate. 2.Supervises Systems Analysts to ensure that technical information, specifications and notifications with regard to IT service standards are properly conveyed to the end-user community. 3.Coordinates formulation of project plans and schedules, including project scope and objectives for financial and administrative systems and development requirements. 4.Assist in the development of internal IT best practices, project methodology, process improvement models and workflow efficiencies across functional areas in order to achieve outstanding satisfaction. 5.Responsible for feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, establishment and implementation of new or revised applications, systems and programs, including evaluation of buy versus in-house build solutions6.Works closely with administrative leads for purposes of identifying and improving existing and new work flow methods and procedures for departmental and enterprise systems. 7.Researches and makes recommendations to IT management on applicable software and hardware enhancements. Works with vendors and consultants and effectively maintain external vendor relationships to ensure good return on investment and excellent continuity of service
