Experience: A midtown investment bank needs a senior Java Swing developer to implement a new P&L system for its equity and derivative traders on a 6-12 month contract.
<br><br>
The portfolio system monitors risk calculations, position monitoring, reporting, and back testing. It will be an important part of the trader's daily regimen and direct communication with the trade floor is required for this role. The first phase of the project is to take the application live. During that portion the developer will work closely with team of 3 from the foreign offices. Second phase is to upgrade the system piece by piece from a list of trader requests and in parallel to upgrades made on the system in the other offices.

The application is n-tier with a Java Swing front end, a proprietary middle tier protocol communicating with Oracle 10g database on a Linux server. The financial products are mostly domestic and foreign
