We are currently looking for a resource for a contract to perm opportunity with our client to provide application security support, and strategic advisement for the Application Infrastructure and our client's IT enterprise.
These efforts include direct security support of the System Development Lifecycle, ongoing security testing, vulnerability identification, and mitigation recommendation/support for applications.
Experience: 1. Provide direct security support for the Systems Development Lifecycle, including SDLC development/maintenance support, security requirements definition, design review, and security testing.
2. Select, install, configure, maintain, and administer a suite of application security tools.
3. Develop, analyze, and represent scheduled and ad hoc reports and make recommendations based on the data from various sources.
4. Provide application layer vulnerability mitigation recommendations and support to appropriate ITS organizations.
5. Develop and maintain application security system documentation.
6. Research, evaluate, and implement application security-related technologies, processes, and policies.
7. Aid in the development and execution of the security incident response procedures and business continuity plan.
8. Assist in development and maintenance of security awareness education and training for users of information resources administered by the Office of ITS.
QUALIFICATIONS:
This position requires a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field. The equivalent combination of education, training and/or information security certification or directly related technical experience may be combined in lieu of degree requirement. Technical requirements include:
. three or more years experience in application security, software (web) development, and/or application architecture,
. strong technical background in IT security and an in-depth understanding of applications and databases,
. technical knowledge of Microsoft, Solaris, and Linux operating systems, including script development
. strong communication (written, oral, and presentation) and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively on technical issues with non-technical personnel,
. demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and across organizational boundaries.
