Retail Systems Administrator

Principle Job Function:

Under the direction of the IT Director, this position is
responsible for all issues pertaining to the RetailPro POS
systems at our retail stores and the head-end system at our corporate
office. In addition, daily tasks include data maintenance, generating
reports and troubleshooting hardware/software at the retail store level.

ESSENTIAL JOB DETAILS:

• Maintain/Support all areas pertaining to the RetailPro Point of Sale system.

• Act as liaison between the IT Department and all other departments requesting information from the Retail Pro system.

• Act as primary contact for Retail Pro help desk support 24 hours a day.

• Handle entry of all retail markdowns into the Retail Pro system.

• Handle all installation requirements for existing and new stores.

• Handle all interface requirements between Retail Pro and other operating systems or software.

• Help support PC hardware and software issues.

• Help support telecommunication issues.

• Prepare/maintain all Retail Pro documentation.

• Train all employees required to use the Retail Pro Point of Sale system.

• Handle all other duties as assigned.


Specific Skills Required:

• A+ Certification preferred

• Knowledge of Microsoft XP, Windows 2000 and Windows 2003

• 4-5 yrs. of experience on Hardware and Software
troubleshooting

• 4 yrs. of help desk experience

• 3 yrs. of Retail experience

• Excellent communication skills

• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn new applications

• Team Player

• Knows how to provide “Pro-Active solutions” rather than re-
active solutions
