Robert Half Technology seeks a highly motivated and organized PHP Developer to fulfill technical and production duties. The primary delivery platforms will be community-driven websites as well as online application support for downloadable games. Teamwork, accuracy and quality are critical, as are flexibility and the ability to work on a schedule while managing multiple priorities. This position reports to the CTO, but will work closely with respective site and project Producers and management. Experience with User Interface Design is a must.
The candidate will be responsible for implementing the overall look-and-feel and specific GUI elements as well as functional requirements for the sites. Prospective candidates must possess the ability to allocate time and work on multiple smaller projects at once, as needed.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop PHP templates and pages that meet functional and creative requirements using PHP, HTML, Javascript and CSS
- Develop MySQL – PHP applications that support our required functionality
- Develop project plans and specifications
- Participate in site development by suggesting solutions to business problems
- Provide supplementary Flash Development as needed
SKILLS
- 3-5 years PHP + MySQL development
- Minimum of 6 months experience working with object oriented ActionScript 2.0 or 3.0
- Understanding of performance profiling, troubleshooting and operational procedures
- Project / Team Management skills are a must
- Shell scripting experience
- System administration experience as it relates to configuring web, application and database servers
- Great organizational abilities
- Experience with site management, ad insertion, research, reporting and monitoring tools
- Ability to work collaboratively in small teams
- University qualifications are regarded but not required
