Description
Develops applications supported by Sodexho BI Analysis and Presentation development team. Position will have a primary focus in providing ad hoc support for Hyperion Essbase and Intelligence.
Roles / Responsibilities
. Development of Business Intelligence Systems and Multi-Dimensional Databases (MDDB) using Hyperion Suite of Tools (Essbase, OLAP SERVER, Application Manager) and Hyperion Performance Suite (Hyperion Intelligence).
. Create Databases/Applications using the Essbase Application Manager
. Support of multidimensional databases, problem identification, resolution and documentation
. Development of ESSCMD scripts to automate load and calculation processes, and experience developing load rules to load the data from Star schemas to Essbase database.
. Assist with QA testing process for source to target data integrity.
. Experience in Essbase support, maintenance and development including database design performance tuning.
. Familiar with administration of User Profiles with Essbase Application Manager.
. Good working knowledge of NT, Unix.
. Assist with the collection of application requirements.
. Hands-on experience in creating reports using Essbase Excel Add-In, including knowledge of visual basic
. Assist with development of ad hoc query / reports for business consumption as needed, including limited user training.
. Full participation in QA test scripts and pre-implementation migration process to support change control process

Experience: Education/Experience Required
. BS in Computer Science or Business Information System desired or equivalent work experience
. Minimum of 2 years experience in Hyperion Essbase Developer
. Minimum 2 years experience in reporting in Essbase Excel addin, Hyperion Intelligence or similar Business Intelligence toolset.
Training/Knowledge/Skills Required
. Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle - Requirements Analysis, Design, Data Model Development, Testing, Deployment, Production Maintenance of Multi-dimensional Databases
. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and activities
. Ability to work under pressure
. Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
. Good communication skills both verbal and written
