Basic Function:
Participate or provide oversight in requirements gathering and the development of test plans and strategies with team.
Position Responsibilities:
Participate or provide oversight in gathering requirements, developing test plans and strategies, and developing and / or reviewing test scripts with test team.  Assign test engineers to project activities.  Work closely with developers, understanding code coverage.
Provide project test status and progress reports to IT Lead, and work with development configuration management. 
Act as test lead on enterprise strategic projects and major business projects and other test related activities as required.
Promote collaborative application life cycle development and adherence to Technology and Corporate Standards, Project Management Methodology (PMM), Systems Development Methodology (SDM), and Sarbanes Oxley compliance.
Oversee obtaining and scheduling appropriate on/offshore test resources.  Perform project test team reporting and administrative duties.
Evaluate and provide recommendations for test tools and quality assurance test process improvements.  Participate in developing strategic departmental test services processes.  Create test metric reports and manage defects.
The Quality Assurance Test Group is an integral component to the overall Central Technology systems development life cycle providing test expertise and standardized test processes.  The group works with the Project Management Office ensuring test roles and processes are defined within project management methodology and systems develop methodology.
Manages QA test teams on a project basis.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or in lieu of degree, four to five years' relevant experience in computer science or testing services.
Minimum five years' experience in testing and project management.
Test management tool experience preferred.
Excellent PC skills.
Experience in defect tracking tools.
Good understanding of System Development Life Cycle.
Ability to communicate and work effectively with Technology Areas, Business Partners, and Sourced Groups.
Strong understanding of Technology Application Architectures/Languages.
Working knowledge of Technology Infrastructure & Information Security.
Excellent time management and organizational skills; detailed oriented.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
