We are sell-side financial firm specializing in international securities. We cater to mid to large size institutional firms looking to deal in domestic/foreign issued securities.
Position Overview:
A Java developer that feels comfortable working with Equity traders and operations staff to ensure build & deploy a new generation trading platform.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years experience with developing solutions for Equity trading business (i.e. Equity Financing, Program Trading & Agency Trading )
- At least 3 years of Java, J2SE development
- Understanding of trade and market data feeds (i.e. FIX trading, Reuters, NYSE, NASDAQ , Low latency trading etc.)
- Asynchronous messaging technologies (i.e. MQ, API )
- Fundamental understanding of database modeling and ETL type applications.
- Ability to build ETL batches to manipulate data into and out of a variety of trading and back office systems.
- Experience working on a trading floor supporting mission critical applications
- Ability to multitask several ongoing issues. This involves the ability to assess priority and make appropriate decisions quickly and effectively.
- Successful candidates will feel comfortable in a team oriented environment and possess skills to win over the trust of a broad user base.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective presentation skills
