Reports To: Director of Creative Services
Job Summary:
The creative director is the heart and soul of the creative communications offering—the architect who develops compelling and dynamic creative initiatives that inform, inspire, motivate and stimulate behavior change in client audiences; the team leader who inspires and directs the development of internal resources working in all facets of live, interactive and print media. This job is NOT skill specific: the creative director can be a great writer, a world class designer, an interactive communication/web design director or an amazing multi-media director; what is important is the ability to organize a concept and deliver it to persuade clients and inspire audiences.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Elicits client input and direction
• Provides supplemental insight and direction into client objectives and opportunities
• Helps build client relationships on account level
• Leads development of innovative solutions to client needs
o Proposals: the source of big ideas; consensus builder who encourages and accommodates additional ideas and thinking from team members; provides direction to key creative team members—art, music, staging, technology
o Sold Business: lead client interface throughout development of creative solution; provides thought leadership and direction of creative solutions for specific initiatives; ensures continuity and overall effectiveness of all content
• Ensures buy-in of ideas in both client and internal organizations through highly effective and persuasive communication that is aligned with their strategic objectives.
Experience: • Broad communication vocabulary and familiarity—from live theatre to interactive and video on demand
• Effective, mature inter-personal communication skills with both client and internal teams
• 3-8 years of experience in similar field of marketing communications, advertising or public relations.
• Outstanding stand-up presentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Able to thrive in high pressure environment
• Willingness to work long hours
• Able to travel extensively both domestically and internationally
This Position works as assigned to new business and sold business accounts in European and US markets
