UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Java Programmer to join our Albany, NY team. The successful candidate should possess a minimum of five years experience with Java Programming, and three years of JSPs/Servlet development, Enterprise Java Bean development, designing J2EE applications and integration of J2EE applications with other systems. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:1. Help define overall processes and then assist with their implementation2. Ensure that projects follow architecture direction, standards and best practices3. Identify technology reuse, build object/component library4. Architect application models & technical designs5. Plan and coordinate infrastructure requirements6. Ensure consistent, robust & scalable designs7. Conduct formal technical reviews8. Define the structure of the system, its interfaces, and the principles that guide its project, application design and implementation9. Work with technical leads on documentation and testing requirements10. Conduct application profile and performance analysis11. Ensure the efficiency of all code during the development build phase. 12. Provide technical leadership, training, direction and expertise in the design and implementation of applications and integrations. One or more years experience using Microsoft.Net technologies (primarily for interoperability with non-Microsoft technologies)8.
