We are seeking a senior .NET Developer/Architect to join the Application Development team. The successful candidate will be the technical lead of a 4-5 member development team. The technical lead is expected to mentor other developers regarding object-oriented programming practices, design patterns, agile development techniques and other topics related to effective software development and application integration.
Duties & Responsibilities (Time Allocated to Each)
• Design, build and support software systems, services and components (60%).
• Provide technical support to business analysts, QA and project leaders. (30%)
• Communication with vendors, IT management or project sponsors regarding progress, requirements and IT strategy (10%).

Experience: • 7+ years’ technical development and/or architecture experience and technical leadership in multiple full life-cycle development of mid-to-large-sized systems and/or product lines, including:
o .NET Framework with C#
o Windows and Web Application programming.
o Distributed computing
o Database design and programming
o XML technologies
o Agile or other iterative software development model.
o Scalable and fault-tolerant system design
o Multi-threading and thread synchronization techniques
• Object-oriented analysis and design
Optional Knowledge and Experience (one or more of the following preferred)
• .NET 3.0, WCF, WPF
• Message-oriented middleware
• Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)
• Business Process Management (BPM)
• Data Warehousing/Business Intelligence reporting
• Document Management
• Portal Technologies
• UML
• Financial services or insurance industry experience
