Field Service Technician -
Responsibilities: Providing technical product support and hands-on service at customer sites regarding troubleshooting and repair of complex electronic equipment, including PCs, video cameras, optics, illumination systems, integrated circuits, printed circuit boards and schematics. Additional responsibilities include providing customer training in equipment operation, maintenance and repair, and hands-on service in the installation, alignment, test and repair of equipment at customer sites; and maintaining equipment and customer documentation for continued improvement and customer satisfaction. This position is also required to dedicate approximately 20% of its time in support of sales efforts by presenting equipment demonstrations and technical interaction with potential customers.
Must be willing to travel and work with minimum supervision.
Qualifications: 2-year Associates Degree in Electronics and minimum of 2 years experience in troubleshooting and repair to component level; experience providing telephone and on-site customer service support in repair and maintenance of electronic equipment; experience with Windows NT, CPU setup, oscilloscopes, schematics, and general test equipment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
