BASIC FUNCTION:The Business Analysts is expected to possess a detailed functional knowledge of the supported application(s) to assist in the successful processing of the system on a day-to-day basis and to maintain system integrity in thoroughly testing systems modifications.Ability to research and evaluate alternative solutions and makes recommendations to fulfill business requirements.Develops project assessments and plans to include activities to be performed, estimated timeframes and effort.Develops test plans and scripts; performs client testing to ensure proper system functioning.Provides consultation services to clients, technicians and Bank departments on functions of supported mainframe or distributed applications. This may also include the review of system capabilities, operational procedures, forms, marketing materials, or cost analysis.Develops a thorough understanding of the business being supported and its functions, processes and operations. Maintains a good functional understanding of the supported application(s).Participates in planning and implementing new polices and procedures that will improve the performance and effectiveness of the department.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent written and oral communication skillsVery good analytical skills with the ability to understand development processes and technical concepts.Knowledge of personal computers and the ability to effectively use word processing and spreadsheet applications.Detail oriented, self-motivated; takes initiative to learn new skills and enhance overall knowledge.Must possess time management skills and organization skills.Minimum of two to four years college with experience in a technology/systems analysis or operational support environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Able to handle multiple tasks in support of various assignmentsIDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree preferred.Financial/Banking Experience a plus
