We are looking for an Experience Lead to direct the research, usability, and interaction design of our projects. The ideal person is a user experience professional devoted to creating innovative, clever solutions on interactive projects. Someone who thinks strategically and creatively, who can focus on all project phases from initial research through launch.

The perfect candidate will ensure a quality user experience that forms a customer's impression of our clients' offerings, differentiates our clients from their competitors, and compels visitors to come back.

The role:

Focus on understanding the user goals of a project, creating the success metrics to go with them, and seeing them through all phases of the project

Work with clients to determine goals and present them with winning user experience concepts

Infuse our concepts, wireframes and designs with usability and interaction best practices

Monitor projects from kickoff to launch in an influential, thought-leadership role

Lead information architects in translating business problems into user-focused solutions (and diving into IA on occasion)

Partner with each department at Ai to champion and guide UX ideals

Experience: The background:

7+ years in IA or design roles with a user-oriented focus

Thoroughly immersed in the usability and user experience disciplines

Possessing a strong portfolio, including ecommerce and UI-focused projects, and can talk to your involvement on each

A team thinker who can work independently and collaboratively

Self-motivated, wickedly creative, a good communicator with feverish attention to detail

The kind of person who gauges CVS against Duane Reade by which one has a single snake checkout queue and not a line behind each register
