Our client is seeking a logistics analyst to work in their Wall Street office. They specialize in the international shipping of petrochemicals. The logistics analyst will be responsible for the preparation and review of shipping documents against letters of credit.

Experience: Liquid Bulk Petrochemical Cargo experience mandatory and must also have a firm grasp of the information listed below.

- liquid bulk petrochemical cargo experience (hazardous and non-hazardous)
- experience in the preparation and / or review of shipping / transport documents against documentary letters of credit (ie: commercial invoice, bills of lading, certificates or origin, survey reports {ie: cert. of quantity, cert. of quality, cert. of vessel tank cleanliness, etc.}, packing lists {if containerized cargo - don't have much of that at , 1 product}, beneficiary certificates, bank cover letters, etc.)
- experience in the review of documentary and stand-by letter of credits and related amendments - should be able to review and identify customer LC requirements that present potential problems / future discrepancies and work with the CFO on amendment requests prior to vessel loading.
- Liaison/follow-up with bankers to ensure that documents presented are in compliance with documentary l/c's and if not facilitate making the proper amendments to documents if necessary. Knowledge of UCP terms/conditions helpful for banking process.
- Knowledge of International Trade Terms - Incoterms 2000 as we are an International Trading Company and these trade terms and conditions apply.
- experience working with vessel brokers in the chartering of vessels and nomination to their suppliers and customers
- experience working / liaison with surveyors as to specific testing procedures required, (ie: shore tank analysis, shore line analysis, first foot samples, vessel tank samples analysis, vessel tank inspection and cleaning procedures based on stowage and previous vessel tank cargoes) - and ensure proper / related reports are issued in the format required by customer's as stated in the LC
- coordinate all loading operations with suppliers/operations managers
- willing have the flexibility to work at off hours as required; 90% of business is international load and discharge, less than 10% ever loads or discharges in the US.
