Robert Half Technology is currently recruiting for a Jr. Web Developer for a contract to hire position at a software company in Midtown! Responsibilities will include technical support and new feature development for our e-commerce websites, online database and digital video products, and other web-based applications.
The developer will work on a variety of different projects and should be able to provide new ideas that work within our current system. The ideal candidate is flexible, patient, forward thinking, results oriented, and will maintain a high attention to detail. The developer must be able to work well in a team development environment and be able to communicate well with non-technical people inside and outside the firm.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or like degree, and one to three years of related experience and/or training.
- Demonstrated experience with HTML, CSS, Javascript, ASP and ASP.NET (VB.net preferred), C#, Visual Basic, and SQL Server 2000 (stored procedures, triggers, DTS packages)
- Knowledge of streaming video technologies (including Flash Video, Windows Media, and QuickTime)
- Demonstrated ability to learn new products and technologies
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
In addition, familiarity with individual and user group authentication tools and techniques is a strong plus
