We are currently seeking an Applications Consultant 1 to work in the Piper Jaffray Algorithmic and Program Trading IT department. The candidate will be providing the following services:
- QA support in the testing and validation of automated trading software
- Level 1 tech support for currently fielded production software
- Configuration management of development and production software
- Accurate and timely rollout of software from our QA environment to production
- Provide limited report generating capability using SQL or Perl
- Capture, document and disseminate user requirements for new system capabilities
Ideal candidates will have:
- Software test experience (knowledge of the equity trading space is a big plus)
- Automated testing software and Scripting language experience (such as Winrunner and Perl)
- Linux / Unix admin experience
- FIX protocol experience
- Written language skills
- User interface design experience
