A client of ours, with international locations, is searching for a candidate to fulfill the role of Distributed App Developer. In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the technical design, development and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform distributed application systems. You'll be analyzing and defining the document requirements for data, workflow, and logical processes and interfaces with other systems while also ensuring that expected application performance levels are achieved. This senior position will be responsible for the day-to-day development, enhancement, and support of multiple distributed applications. Your responsibilities will include all phases of the system life cycle as well as real-time mission critical applications using MQSeries on OS390/zOS/MVS and MS Windows platforms.

To qualify for consideration for this position, you must meet or exceed the following:<br><br>
<ul>
<li>Strong experience in supporting enterprise business critical messaging through a highly available MQ Series architecture using Mainframe function calls.
<li> Mainframe experience that include a DB2 and IDMS database and a strong working knowledge of CICS and COBOL.
<li>Technical proficiency on PC platforms (Windows 98/2000/XP, Office Suite).
<li>Knowledge of distributed architectures using MQ Series as well as relational database design skills and/or working knowledge of SQL and DB2.
<li>Excellent written and oral communication skills a must along with sound analytical and problem solving skills and strong interpersonal and organization skills.
<li>6+ years experience required.
<li>Extensive knowledge of the total computing environment, including all key IT functions, interdependencies and business impact of IT planning.
<li>Prior lead experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and prior consulting experience with structured methodologies.
<li>Extensive experience with developing and supporting distributed applications is required as is broad experience with multi-platform development tools and toolkits.
<li>Ability to multitask to handle several projects simultaneously is essential.
