New York City based company is looking for a Web Programmer/Developer.
This individual will play an active role in all aspects of front end development, from functional walkthroughs, technical designs, and implementations to release. Requires 5+ years of web development/programming experience, using JavaScript, XHTML, CSS, ASP/PHP a plus. We are looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge and skills to code for cross-browser compatibility are essential.
Responsibilities
Candidates will need to produce the following:
- Work with SQL Server or MySQL relational database, SQL coding, database design and stored procedures
- Assist the lead developer and or developers in composing the load testing plan, directly writes scripts to implement the plan
- Assist the Creative Director and testers in the creation of the test plan and test scenarios whose scope includes new code or changes in existing code
- Build and maintain the presentation layer of Company's site.
- Monitors and supports high volume batch file and web service integrations
- Design cutting-edge websites and web based applications
Experience: Position Requirements
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows systems, basic web scripting
- Proficient in MS Office suite
- At least 3-4 years experience as a software engineer / web developer preferably at an interactive agency
- Knowledge of ASP (VB), PHP, mySQL, SQL Server, XML, and understanding of internet technology
- Experience in networking and computer maintenance
- Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Intermediate knowledge of Photoshop / Illustrator (creative/web design a plus)
- BA/BS degree required
- Candidate should provide examples of previous coded work.
