Designs, implements and maintains physical database structures and associated network and system configurations. S/he manages data using effective backup/restore/recovery/reorganization and data storage management procedures. S/he also collaborates on various database issues and assists with problem resolution.
Specifically we are seeking a Senior Unix DB2/UDB DBA with a Strong Relational Database background who possesses experience with the following:
. Advanced SQL / Stored procedures
. Full project lifecycle
. Performance Tuning
. Design of all stored procedures
. *Replication experience,
. *Federated experience,
. *Strong performance and tuning
. *knowledge of full text indexing.
Experience: Minimum 1-2 years experience required. Must have knowledge of and prior hands-on experience with database management structures (relational, hierarchical, distributed) and associated platforms (as listed above). Must have experience with design, implementation and support of a specific database platform and understand associated maintenance and performance implications. Must also be familiar with basic syntax, rules and language for data manipulation and issues related to performance, capacity and security. Must have knowledge of and prior hands-on experience with importing, exporting, back-up, recovery and migration of database contents.
