BASIC FUNCTION:The position designs, implements, evaluates and analyzes data and reporting mechanisms to bring clarity to HR-related issues and overall trends in the organization. This position is responsible for designing and developing reports, report templates and dashboards by leveraging data from various sources. The position works closely with HR staff and business management.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Analysis and Consultation:Meets with management and HR staff to understand and capture needs, areas of improvement, and new reporting requestsMakes recommendations for potential solutionsCreates technical/design specifications based on business requirementsProvides thoughtful analysis to enhance reporting functionalityReporting:Develops reports in clear and concise formats to meet customer requirementsDesigns, implements and evaluates reports and other information solutionsEnsures reports are consistent, reliable and accurateEvaluates reporting technologies to continually improve reporting capabilitiesMaintains data integrity and audits HR related data; ensures data usabilityAcquires expert level knowledge of available tools for analysis and reportingWorkflow and Policy Development:Assists in developing, implementing and maintaining HRIS policies and proceduresResearches and recommends workflow solutions and process improvement opportunities through data analysisRecommends automated solutions to remedy operational inefficienciesAssists in defining system security levelsMaintains current awareness of trends in HRIS and new information systems methods and toolsHelps identify and prioritize current and future information needs
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, or at least 4 years experience in a related field of business. 5 years experience in report design and analysis is requiredMinimum 2 years in a Human Resources environment2 years of management/team lead experienceAdvanced/expert level experience in Excel and Access requiredAdvanced level of proficiency with Business Objects.Strong knowledge of data warehousing fundamentals and demonstrated understanding of databases and data structuresDemonstrated reporting experience working with a variety of distributive and stand alone data systemsStrong analytical, and problem solving ability required Excellent oral and written communication skills are required Excellent oral and written communication skills are requiredAbility to safeguard confidential information is a mustMust be compulsive about data accuracy and qualityA high attention to detail with an eye on the big pictureExcellent customer service skills
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:Ability to manage multiple tasks and manage small to large projects is desiredAdvanced level of proficiency with CognosAbility to learn and master new technology
