Platform Operations Engineering Manager( IT Manager)Our ecommerce client is looking for highly motivated technology savvy individual to run their platforms operations. The candidate will be working closely with DEV, QA, CS and various departments of the company to ensure the delivery of the platform application on various environments as well as keeping production up time at peak. The candidate must be able to be hands-on on all aspects of the operations department. The ideal candidate is someone who has worked in a small operation environment and had the opportunity to help build the infrastructure as the company grew.Responsibilities:- Manage outsourced IT consultant to support internal helpdesk requests.- Work with telecom vendor to resolve phone issues. - Support day to day operations of platform environments.- Install patches and setup backup for servers- Deploy internal developed applications to various environments- Owner of all company-wide production applications - Work with developers, QA, and CS to troubleshoot and diagnoses bugs in applications.- Managing hardware, network devices and security of the data center- Deal with third party vendors on various fronts of operations. Environment:- Microsoft Windows 2003 Servers- SQL 2005 Clustered with Replication- SQL Server Analysis Service- Applications are developed in ASP.NET with SQL 2005 backend running on IIS- Ubuntu Linux, Apache, Tomcat, MySQL, PHP- Watchguard Firewall, EMC San, Dell Blade Servers- Jira, Solr, Sharepoint- Clustered VMWare ESX ServersRequirements:- Solid knowledge of Windows 2003 Server platforms (3+ years)- Windows Clustering experience - Solid understanding of managing ASP.NET application on Microsoft .NET platform.- Able to deploy and troubleshoot applications on IIS environment (3+ years) - Ability to script in one of more of these languages (Powershell, VBScript, Perl, Bash).- Good Understanding VMWare technology- Working experience administering Linux environment (1+ years)- Working knowledge of administering MSSQL and reading and writing T-SQL - Solid understanding to TCP/IP networking protocols.
