Reporting into the Head of the PMO, the project manager will assist in:
. Preparing status reports for Senior Management
. Prepare Project Management Plans using the PMI framework as a guideline
. Coordinating business initiatives between the front office and the back office
. Run project meetings and prepare meeting minutes as necessary
. Create plans and strategies for risk identification, qualification, quantification, and mitigation
Ensure that business initiatives are successful by:
o Communicating business initiatives/updates to the back office departments (listed above)
o Ensure that concerns and issues from impacted departments are consolidated and escalated
Experience: Software/Tools:
Microsoft Excel 2003/2007
Microsoft Word 2003/2007
Microsoft PowerPoint 2003/2007
Microsoft Visio 2003/2007
Microsoft Project 2003/2007
Business Objects XI (or equivalent)
Languages:
SQL
. Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, engineering or a related discipline with an information technology focus; M.B.A. degree or equivalent related project management experience desirable
. Certified PMP desired
. Four to six years of progressive broad-based information systems and business experience; highly desirable to have experience in software engineering involving development and testing of applications
. Three or more years of business-unit experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving
. Strong management and development skills
. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all management levels
. Organizational skills
. Able to multi task
